Rio Grande Dermatology presents LightSheer XC Laser Hair Removal

This system is the only FDA approved laser product on the market proven to permanently reduce hair on all skin types.

The laser works by emitting a beam of highly concentrated light. The color emitted from this light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle.  The laser pulses this light energy for a fraction of a second, enough to vaporize the pigment and disable several follicles at one time.  The LightSheer’s patented Sapphire ChillTip technology provides continuous cooling of the skin during the procedure. This ChillTip helps protect the skin by conductive cooling during the laser energy delivery.

The Lightsheer XC can safely and effectively treat all skin types including tanned skin and any range of hair colors, diameters and depths. The length of the appointment will vary depending on the area and amount of hair being removed: a small area such as the upper lip may require a few minutes, however, more than one treatment may be required to treat larger areas of the body.
